Pay: $16-$18 per hour (based on credentials and experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Preschool Teacher Assistant - Early Childhood Classroom
The Learning Experience - Canton is seeking a caring and dependable Preschool Teacher Assistant to support children ages 3-5 in a structured classroom environment focused on kindergarten readiness, confidence, and social-emotional development.
This role is ideal for someone with childcare experience who enjoys helping young learners build independence and strong early learning foundations through engaging classroom experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily preschool classroom routines and learning activities
- Support developmentally appropriate experiences and classroom centers
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Guide children through transitions, meals, and group activities
- Encourage positive classroom participation and social interaction
- Communicate professionally with families and teaching team members
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements and center policies
Qualifications
- Prior childcare experience required
- CDA preferred but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, nurturing, and professional approach
- Must meet Michigan childcare licensing requirements
Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
