USD #243 is in the Northern part of Coffey County. There are two high schools in the district: Lebo and Waverly. Lebo High School and Waverly High School are classified as 1A. There are approximately 470 students in attendance between the two communities. School district budget is approximately $5,500,000. Teacher salaries are competitive to the area and the district is a member of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas insurance plan.
